Spain demolished Poland in their second game of the Global Vision U18 European Championship, 93-37 and gain the right to be in the Qualifying Round.

The Iberians had a rocket start, leading 21-3 after eight minutes of playing and Andrea VilarĂ³ showed her intentions right from the start, scoring seven points in that span. She finished with 22 points and shot a brilliant 81 percent from the field.

The former gold medalist at the U16 European Championship in 2009 and silver medalist one year later, at the U18 European Championship, missed only two field goal attempts and was perfect from beyond the arc, 3-for-3.

Astou Barro Ndour Gueye was killing the opponents inside the paint and finished with 21 points and eight rebounds for Spain in another excellent performance after posting 13 points and 6 rebounds against Slovenia, in the first game of the competition.

Poland shot just 21 percent from the field and was outrebounded, 28-50.

Patrycja Jadwiga Jastrzebska led the Polish side with seven points, four rebounds and two blocks and got a little help from Karolina Wilk, who totaled six points and two rebounds.

Spain will fight Lithuania on the last day of the Preliminary Round in a clash for the first place in Group B.

Poland have a do-or-die game against Slovenia on Saturday, to avoid the bottom spot in the group and the Classification Round for 13th to 16th place.
