Netherlands Explode To Stun England

The Netherlands ran riot in the second quarter to end England's perfect run with a 74-62 defeat in the U18 European Championship for Women Division B.

England had taken a 20-14 lead by the end of the first quarter, but Gabrielle van den Bosch's three-pointer sparked a 24-4 run in the second quarter that totally changed the game.

England came out strong in the second half but the damage was done.

Zera Butter led the Dutch with 25 points and seven rebounds, while England wasted 21 points and 14 rebounds from Temitope Fagbenle.

Spanou scored 26 points to lead Greece past Denmark 70-54.

Greece followed up a dominant group stage with another solid performance, taking a 24-14 lead by the end of the first quarter and holding the Danes at arm's distance the rest of the way.

Gritt Ryder had 15 points and nine rebounds in the losing effort.

Maria Andrade scored 14 points while Victoria Pacheco was a monster on the boards, grabbing 14 rebounds as Portugal went through with a 59-46 win over Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Sonja Greinacher's 23 points and 12 rebounds powered Germany to a 65-55 win over Luxembourg.

The scores were tied at 32-32 at half-time, but Germany pulled clear down the stretch as Greinacher dominated at both ends.

Maryna Ivashchanka was the star of the show as Belarus beat Finland 82-69.

The 1.88m center came up with 25 points and 10 rebounds while also blocking three shots.

Jovana Pasic had 17 points and 13 rebounds in Montenegro's 62-43 win over Scotland.

Erin McGarrachan did all she could for the Scots with 18 points and 10 rebounds, but found little support.

Gabriela Cursura poured in 25 points and dished out seven assists as Romania overpowered Croatia 80-60.

Nina Premasunac had 15 points and 10 rebounds in the losing effort.

Keren Mozes scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Israel to a 69-59 win over Bulgaria.
