Spain Down Serbia Too, Remain Perfect

Spain delivered another impressive performance in the U18 European Championship Women 2010 tournament in Poprad, Slovakia as they breezed past Serbia 73-47.

Spain tried to surprise the Spaniards with an early 8-1 run, but Serbia recovered quickly and took the lead 15-12 on a Jovana Karakasevic layup drive.

Marina Delgado came hot off the bench in the second quarter and nailed a three-pointer and added a basket on the fast break to give Spain a 37-21 lead  late in the first half.

Spain continued to play aggressive on both ends after the halftime break and extended the margin to 20 points after Yurena Diaz connected from the outside the arc to make it 48-28 in the middle of the third quarter.

Serbia couldn't find a rhythm and struggled till the end of the contest.

Yurena Diaz led all scorers with 15 points.

Jovana Karakasevic and Dijana Stancic both had 11 points in a losing cause.
