Katerina Elhotova

Career: .USK Praha (Czech Republic-ZBL, 2006-07)

The youngest member of the squad, Elhotova will turn 18 only a week after EuroBasket Women is over. Voted to the All-Tournament Team at the last U18 European Championship and Talent of the Year 2006 in the Czech Republic, one can argue that Elhotova is the up-and-coming starlet of Czech basketball.  She is still learning but her 8.4 points per game in her first league season and the amount of press she has gotten for her performances and her exceptional skills are early indications that she can be the team’s next leader. Good with the ball and without it, she can make the transition from point guard to shooting guard with ease and she may serve as a breath of fresh air for the team. The Prague native can be a bit temperamental at times but her coach at USK, Lubor Blazek, believes that, “international exposure will help her control that aspect better.”
