Banvit BC can take great pride in Marque Perry and Bekir Yarangume's selection to the EuroCup All Star Game, which features Europe taking on the Rest of the World.
The two players will be suiting up in the game tomorrow in Lemesos, Cyprus and both are relishing the opportunity.
Perry has thanked his team-mates for paving the way for his selection to the EuroCup All Star Game.
"It ranks very highly and I am very very happy not only personally but also for the team," said the American.
"Bekir will also be starting for the Europe team and to have two players on the court is a fantastic achievement for the club, and a victory for the
"It is important for people to know that Banvit is a big club in the world and this shows that there is lots of interest in our team."
Perry, whose average of 21.2 points per game was second only to Turk Telekom`s Erwin Dudley - is just delighted to be back among the competition's elite.
"It feels very good to be selected because it is my first All Star game in Europe," said Perry, who will play alongside his fellow American Dudley next month.
"I am excited to be playing in such a high-profile game with all the top guys on the continent.
"It is also a very big honour for me to be not only in the squad, but also amongst the starting five and it is a really big achievement for me.
"So I just want to get out there, have some fun and enjoy the moment," Perry said.
Yarangume is equally delighted.
The 30-year-old Turk, who averaged 12 points per game during his team`s disappointing EuroCup campaign that saw them ousted in the first round, was hoping to put their overall performance in the past and make the best of his new found acclaim.
"I am very happy because this is a very good call-up for me," he said.
"It is a very big moment in my career and is definitely ranked right up there.
"In the 2000/01 season, I finished as the leading scorer in the Turkish Basketball League which was a big thing for me and so is this call-up," he added.
