A new player with the NT brought in last summer by Dirk Bauermann. Demond Greene is a very strong and physical player. He’s only 1,85 m but he’s 95 kilos. A former long jumper, Greene is an excellent athlete. He can finish the drive with a dunk in traffic. He spends most of his playing time at the shooting guard position. Can run the point for a few minutes but does not really have the mentality. When he is on the floor, he does not hesitate; he takes his chance from anywhere, mid-range jumpers, penetrations, three points. He will score points. He has been a consistent offensive threat in his last two seasons in Leverkusen, above 51%, including 34 % beyond the arc and 84% at the free-throw line. In 2003-04, he was the second best scorer in the Bundesliga (20.5).
