One of the nation’s favorites had a season which he will try to forget. Due to health problems he missed the Olympic Games in Athens and before the season began, got released from Unics Kazan. He returned to Serbia and played for Partizan Belgrade in the Euroleague but couldn't help them much in the Adriatic league. Because of his tattoos, the Croatian authorities forbade him from entering the country, so he couldn’t travel with the team. He finished the season in Juventud, Spain. Playing for national team is a big honour and privilege for Gurovic who puts a lot of emotion in every game. The crowd in Serbia-Montenegro went crazy when he demolished the USA «Dream team» in the 2002 World championships quarterfinals in Indianapolis. Has great international experience and what is most important, he doesn’t miss for 3 when the game is on the line. An extra motive will be playing in front of his home crowd in Novi Sad.
