Belgium look ready for their EuroBasket Additional Qualifying Round campaign after playing to a 76-76 tie with Bulgaria in Sofia on Monday night.
In the second of a pair of friendlies, Belgium made huge strides from a disappointing performance in which they lost 91-66 on Sunday.
Bulgaria again took a big lead in the second game, going up 27-17, but this time could not shake off the Belgiums, who went on a 24-10 run in the second quarter to take the lead, and it was Bulgaria who were forced to play catch up in the final stages.
With the game only a friendly and Belgium now in the final few days before facing Bosnia and Herzegovina in the AQR on Saturday, it was agreed to end the game as a tie and avoid a tiring extra period.
Dimitri Lauwers led Belgium with 18 points, while Sam van Rossom and Axel Hervelle had 15 each.
For Bulgaria, who are in the final month of their own EuroBasket preparations, Kaloyan Ivanov had 18 points while Stefan Georgiev added 14.
Bulgaria have been drawn in Group D alongside Lithuania, Poland and Turkey.
