Coach Claude Bergeaud: "before the game we knew that Dirk will score (from)three points, and that's what he has done, but our goal was to limit the other players, and especially stop the way they develop the game to score from outside. We didn't mind their shootings inside, but not from the outside."
"During the game our rhythm of fast break allowed us to control the tempo of the game, and the game was won 10 minutes before the end."
"Tony decides how to run the offense. We spoke two days ago and he decided to give more confidence to the other players and pass them the ball. A lot of guys took responsibility with success."
Forward Florent Pietrus: "In the preliminary round we didn't move the ball well, and sometimes just watched Tony Parker makes plays. Today we did a much better job in that aspect. The players were more active and moves the ball and so it was easier for us to score and win the game."
Coach Dirk Bauermann: "Congratulations for France. They played a very good game and moved the basketball very well. Tony Parker did a good job with making shots. We didn't spent enough energy on the defensive end in the first half."
"We were just a rebound here and there from getting back to the game, but overall it was a disappointing game for us. We'll have to find our game for the next match to make it to the next level."
"Every time we needed to make a play on either hand we couldn't make it. It was one of those games. It happens and you have to bounce back without looking back."
"First of all I think they did a fantastic job. We went on a small line up at some point so Frederic Weis will have to guard him. We thought that he could exploite that, but they are so athletic and have good size, and obviously very motivated to play against him. They switched and helped to make his life very difficult. France did an excellent job defensively."
Forward Ademola Okulaja: "French players shot very well. Much better than they did before. We started very slow without enough energy and aggression on both ends. They took advantage of it, and that's the reason we lost."
"We have to play much better than today and come out from the first second and play defensively. On offense we got to execute and make our shots. We look at it very strongly. We want to be in the Olympics qualification, which means we must win and make the quarter-finals, so we need to prepare the best we can physically and mentally for that game."
