Marko Popovic scored 22 points and Mario Kasun added 19 as Croatia easily defeated Latvia 84-56 in Group D Eurobasket Qualifying Round action.
Croatia shot a blistering 60 percent from the field and used a decisive third quarter advantage to take complete control of the game en route to the win.
Leading 37-31 at the break, Croatia outscored Latvia 28-11 in the third quarter to go ahead 65-42 going into the fourth.
Croatia would lead by more than 20 for most of the fourth quarter.
Popovic connected on four of five three-point field goals and also collected five rebounds.
Kasun, who played this past season with the Orlando Magic, was 8-of-12 from the field and grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds. Croatia held a 36-25 rebounding edge.
The teams’ qualifying round campaigns continue on Sunday when Croatia play Denmark and Latvia goes up against Estonia.
