More than ten years since he first shone back at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and after a four year absence from National Team action, Darius Songaila could be back on the Lithuania roster - even if he has previously called time on his International career. Should he be persuaded to come out of retirement, Lithuania will get the skills and experience of a veteran forward who has completed eight successive seasons in the NBA. While last year wasn't exactly his greatest, in particular because of limited court time, he can still offer versatility on offence, a great commitment to the team ethic and a hard-nosed, hard-working approach on defence. He knows hot to get it done and could be an option, perhaps coming off the bench.
