Loyalty has to be Oleksandr Rayevskyy’s main quality. This speedy point guard has played his whole career for MBC Nikolaev and celebrated his tenth season with the team this year... Not the best way to gain recognition outside of Ukraine’s borders. But this season, Rayevskyy showcased his skills in the FIBA Europe Cup (18.5 ppg)... He loves to dribble drive and attacks the rim with a lot of aggression... But his main weakness is surely his limited range from behind the three-point line : 5-22 in European competition and a terrible 0-7 during last September’s qualifying round... Ukraine’s last EuroBasket win came in 2001 against France when Rayevskyy was fouled as the buzzer sounded and he nailed three free-throws to win the game 89-86.
