Mad-Croc Fuenlabrada and Czech international Lubos Barton have reached an agreement to rescind their contract, the club announced on Thursday.

The 32-year-old forward had signed a two-year contract with the Spanish club in the summer of 2010 but only featured in 29 games in the Liga Endesa and seven EuroChallenge encounters since then, due to injury problems.

Barton's first game with Fuenlabrada was a major comeback story, as he had missed the entire 2009/10 season, his second at his previous club Regal Barcelona, after suffering a career-threatening injury.

He averaged 7.9 points and 4.9 rebounds in the EuroChallenge this season and posted almost identical numbers in the Spanish league, 7.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest.

Mad-Croc Fuenlabrada are preparing to face Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals on Friday night.

They might have to do so though without the services of captain Ferran LaviƱa and Michael Hall.

The Catalan guard is down with a virus, while the American forward has not been able to train since Tuesday, because of an Achilles tendon injury.

Both players will be re-assessed on the day of the game and as a consequence Fuenlabrada have decided to travel to Barcelona, where the Copa del Rey is staged this year, with 13 players.
