New Serbia women's national team coach Marina Maljkovic has showed that she means business by inviting 20 players to a Christmas training camp.
The camp will take place in Kovilovo, from 26th to 29th December.
Serbia are playing their first EuroBasket Women Qualifying Round game on 13th June 2012, against neighbours Montenegro.
The rest of the opponents they will have to face in Group B, in home and away games until 14th July, are Estonia, Poland and Switzerland.
"We need to monitor our Europe-based players closely. These are the best players that Serbian basketball currently has," Maljkovic commented.
"I owe the Federation a big thank you for allowing to gather such a large group of players now, in order to make the selection of the final roster much easier, later in 2012."
Marina Maljkovic, the daughter of Slovenia national team coach Bozidar Maljkovic, took the reins of the Serbia team last summer.
The 20 invited players are: Ivanka Matić (Galatasaray), Jelena Maksimović (Energa Torun), Maja Miljković (Tarbes), Miljana Bojović (Kosice), Sonja Petrović (Sparta&K Moscow Region), Jelena Milovanović (Sparta&K Moscow Region), Ana Dabović (Wisla Can-Pack), Jovana Rad (Union Navara), Milica Mićović (Pozzuoli), Marija Prlja (Alexandria), Sara Krnjić (Sopron), Adrijana Knežević, (Lotos Gdynia), Kristina Baltić (Maribor), Milica Dabović (Partizan), Tamara Radočaj (Partizan), Dajana Butulija (Partizan), Saša Čađo (Hemofarm), Tijana Ajduković (Hemofarm), Nevena Jovanović (Radivoj Korać), Biljana Stjepanović (Radivoj Korać)
