One of the most international and experienced players on the squad, Cohen is there to take care of business. With four national cup titles, and one championship crown she has the know-how to step up in the right moments but that's not all she stands for. She is known as one of the best guards on the continent. Cohen was named the MVP of the Spanish Copa S.M. la Reina, finished second in assists in the qualifying round and was the third best passer in this season's EuroLeague Women campaign, where she played for Turkish powerhouse Besiktas. Two years ago she was Israels go to player when things weren't running smoothly, and her team-mates know coming to Latvia that she'll be there again. Cohen can play both guard positions due to her athletic ability and has the skills to score and create in several ways. Good things usually happen to Israel when Liron Cohen is there to make things happen.
