Liad Suez-Karni

Career: Ramat Hasharon (Israel-D1, 1997-98), Maccabi Ra'anana (Israel-D1, 1998-2000), Ramat Hasharon (Israel-D1, 2001-02), Vilanova (USA-NCAA Div. 1, 2002-06), Wisla Can-Pak Krakow (Poland-PLKK, 2006), Cavigal Nice Sports Basket (France-LFB, 2006-07), Pays d'Aix Basket 13 Provence (France-LFB, 2007-08), Electra Ramat Hasharon (Israel-D1, 2008-09).

The captain of the team is always there when needed. Her 20 points and six rebounds in the crucial game in Ukraine during the qualifying round was just another example of how important she is for this squad. In 2007 Suez-Karni led her team in points and steals but if needed she'll take a step back and focus on pushing her team-mates. Her ability to score from distance allows her to hide her lack of a physical game, and Israel will benefit from her experience. Her list of titles is impressive and when a big game is on the line she'll be there. While in college she recorded the first ever triple-double in the history of Villanova University.
