It's a decade since Irina Osipova first stepped out for Russia at EuroBasket Women 2001 and started a journey with the senior National Team which continues to this day. Having attained success in the various youth categories with a series of podium finishes, that trend continued thanks to her involvement in most major tournaments over the last ten years or so. Strong in the paint and with some solid moves down low, Osipova is a good finisher around the basket. She is also a beast on the boards and finished the FIBA World Championship Women last year as the leading rebounder for Russia. At club level, she has been central to the unprecedented EuroLeague Women title success of Spartak M.R. Vidnoje where she has now played for six consecutive seasons. |
