Irina Osipova

Career: Gloria Moscow (Russia-Superleague, 1997-2001), Dynamo Moscow (Russia-Superleague, 2001-02), UMMC Ekaterinburg (Russia-Superleague, 2002-04), Elitzur Ramla (Israel-D1, 2004), CSKA Samara (Russia-Superleague, 2004), Elitzur Ramla (Israel-D1, 2004-05), Spartak Moscow Region (Russia-Superleague, 2005-09).

Irina Osipova has been known as "l'enfant terrible" of Russian basketball. Thanks to an outstanding talent she became an important player for the Russian national team during the last two campaigns, averaging 6.9 points and 6.8 rebounds during the Olympics in Beijing. She has won the last three EuroLeague Women titles with Spartak Moscow Region, where she averaged 2.3 points and 2.9 rebounds per game last season. Irina Osipova has not reached maturity still. Her excellent feel for the game, her technical skills and her size could allow her to become a dominant center in Europe.
