Marina Kress

Career: RUOR Minsk (Belarus-Div. 1, 1995-96), Gorizont Minsk (Belarus-Div. 1, 1996-99), Vologda (Russia-Superleague, 1999-2000), Dynamo Moscow (Russia-Superleague, 2000-01), Lącznosc Olsztyn (Poland-PLKK, 2001-03), Villeneuve-d'Ascq (France-LFB, 2003-04), Pécs (Hungary, 2004), Wisła Kraków (Poland-PLKK, 2004-06), Berezina Borisov (Belarus-Div. 1, 2007), Extrugasa Vilagarcia (2007-08), Galatasaray (Turkey-TBBL, 2008-09)

Kress is the third cornerstone of the team's formidable frontline. While not quite as athletic as Leuchanka or as crafty as Verameyenka, Marina brings a whole package of skill and veteran savvy to the table and her understanding of the game's nuances is unparalleled. She also stands out for her willingness to sacrifice her own stats for the sake of the team. The 2008-2009 season was a career year for Kress, as she starred for a Galatasaray side which won the EuroCup Women and also reached the TBBL Semi-Finals as well as Final of the Turkish Cup. Marina's performance in the second leg of EuroCup Women Final - an overtime thriller victory over Cras Basket Taranto - was a truly memorable one as she made several momentum-changing plays in crunch time and finished with 12 points and eight rebounds in 36 minutes of action. Kress is the most experienced player on Belarus with 47 caps under her belt.
