Mark Scannell, Ireland coach:
"We missed Susan Moran a lot, so the Dutch had a size advantage. We played a great first half, but in the second half the Dutch had a few breakaway points which cost us the game. But it was a great learning experience for our young team."
Meindert van Veen, Netherlands coach:
"We weren't focussed. Our important players didn't play very well, plus we couldn't answer their aggression. In the end a short aggressive period and our individual quality got us the game."
Anouk Biester, Netherlands player:
"We weren't focused in the beginning, but after some strong words at half time we realised the second half was probably the most important half we would be playing this year. So we made sure we got our focus back and did what was necessary to win the game."
