Laszlo Ratgeber's Hungary crashed to a 68-52 defeat to world champions Australia in Massy, France.

The Opals only led 16-13 at the end of the first quarter but then blew the game wide open over the next 10 minutes and had a 41-24 stranglehold on proceedings at half-time.

Anna Vida and Dora Horti each had 10 points for Hungary.

Hungary will now take part in a four-team tournament in Evry.

Ratgeber's team will take on France on Friday, Australia again on Saturday and the Czech Republic on Sunday.
