Aida Pilav's free throw with eight seconds remaining in overtime lifted Bosnia and Herzegovina to a 75-74 home triumph in Zenica over Finland on Saturday.
In the EuroBasket Women Group B qualifier, Azra Becirovic had 17 points and seven rebounds for the Bosnians, who overcame a strong effort by the Finns and their impressive Niina Laaksonen. The 1.86m center finished with 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Heta Korpivaaraa's two free throws for Finland with 10 seconds remaining in regulation tied the game at 68-68.
Becirovic tried to win it at the end for the hosts, but her attempt from three-point range was off the mark.
In the overtime, Pilav missed two free throws with 41 seconds left but Finland failed to take advantage and the next time she was fouled and went to the line, the 1.85m center made one of two for the narrow triumph.
The result has left both teams with 1-4 records.
