Poland Boss Koziorowicz Resigns

Poland coach Krzysztof Koziorowicz has resigned following his team's Qualifying Round exit at the EuroBasket Women, the country's basketball federation has confirmed.

The Poles, who beat Greece and Hungary in Group B in Liepaja and needed just one victory in Riga to the advance to the Quarter-Finals, lost to Slovakia, Spain and the struggling Czech Republic to crash out of the competition.

Poland go into their final Qualifying Round game against the Czech Republic looking to snap a two-game losing skid.

After stunning Greece in Group B with Magdalena Leciejewska's buzzer-beating jumper and then coming from behind in the fourth quarter to knock off Hungary, Poland have suffered setbacks to Slovakia and Spain.
