Belarus point guard Natallia Marchanka has suffered a broken nose and is questionable for the 2007 bronze medalists' final Qualification Round game against Turkey on Tuesday.

Marchanka went to the hospital after Belarus beat Lithuania 61-55 on Sunday and was diagnosed with a broken nose.

The veteran playmaker was elbowed in the face by a Lithuanian player in the first seconds of the fourth quarter but returned to play the final five minutes of the game.

"It's always hard to watch from the side. I wanted to be there and help, even though I had some turnovers. But we won, so that is most important," Marchanka said after the game.

Marchanka's status for Tuesday against Turkey is questionable. Belarus will have a clearer picture with their playmaker after their practice on Monday.

Belarus are 1-3 in Group F and must beat Turkey and hope that Lithuania knock off Italy in order to advance to the Quarter-Finals.

The Lotos Gdynia guard Marchanka was a member of the 2007 EuroBasket Women All-Tournament Team, but she has struggled in Latvia, averaging 2.8 points on 19 percent shooting while dishing out 4.2 assists but committing 5.2 turnovers.

Marchanka, however, was key to Belarus's victory over Lithuania as she returned to play the final five minutes with a broken nose and kept Belarus poised enough to secure the win.
