Greece faced a nervous evening last night after their loss to Serbia and Monetenegro. They were forced to wait for the result of Czech Republic France, to see whether their Championship dreams were over.

Fortunately for Greeks, France lost, setting up an intriguing match-up which will see the winner advance to the quarter-finals.

Serbia & Montenegro, who were taking aim at securing a place in the quarter-finals, struggled but at least managed to win for a second time in four games.

Gordana Grubin scored 17 points, including three of seven from behind the three-point arc, to pace the winners, who led by only four points going into the final quarter before sealing a five-point win.

They take on Israel, who have been steamrollered by the competition in this tournament, in their fiinal Group A game on Wednesday.

"This was a very interesting game with suspense at the end. Greece played very well and it wouldn't have been a surprise if they had won the game."
