Career: RUOR Minsk (Belarus-Div. 1, 1994-96), Horizont Minsk (Belarus-Div. 1, 1995-99), Chevakata-Chevakata (Russia-Superleague, 1999-2000), Fairleigh Dickinson University (USA-NCAA, 2000-04), Meblotap AZS PWSZ Chełm (Poland-PLKK, 2004-06), Dinamo Energiya Novosibirsk (Russia-Superleague, 2006-08), Lotos Gdynia (Poland-PLKK, 2008-09), Municipal MCM Targoviste (Romania-D1 2009-10), Dynamo Moscow (Russia-Superleague 2010-11) If you need tangible evidence of the importance of Natalia Marchanka to Belarus and her quality when it comes to major tournaments, look no further than the fact she was voted onto the All Tournament team at EuroBasket Women 2007 where Belarus won bronze and her impact at the Olympics where Marchanka was very much the heartbeat of the team. A true leader in every sense of the word, she is inspirational both on and off the court. Since achieving success back in 2005, she has continued to play a key part in the emergence of Belarus as one of the top teams in the World. Still very quick and with super court-vision, her decision making is a real strength. In the last three major tournaments covering the Olympics, EuroBasket Women and FIBA World Championship Women, she has dished out over 80 assists. She is most definitely an experienced and capable playmaker at an elite level who will once again be instrumental in whether Belarus make another play for the podium. |
