It's been a great year for CSKA Moscow and their star guard Edwige Lawson-Wade.  The Russian giants are undefeated for the entore season and look to be the odds on favourites for a EuroLeague title.

Recently CSKA guard Edwige Lawson-Wade sat down with FIBA Europe to answer some unusual questions about her political leanings and choice in automobiles.

FIBA Europe: Edwige, what is the first thing you think about when you wake up in the morning?

Edwige: "When I wake up early (for a basketball player, early means 9.30am) to go to practice, I always think: "I'm still sleepy, I'm going to take a nap this afternoon!"

FIBA Europe: What is your dream meal - starter, entrée, dessert and drink?

Edwige: "One of my favorite starters is salade de chevre chaud (it's toast with goat cheese, and that's for my French side), then I will have an African dish called maffé chicken (that's for my African side) and then I will finish with a brownie with fudge chocolate and vanilla ice cream (this is my American side!). The drink will probably be water. And then I will go run for an hour to burn off the calories!!!"

FIBA Europe: If you could vote in the American elections, would you like to see Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama or John McCain be President of the United States?

Edwige: "If I could vote, I'd pay more attention to what Obama and Clinton have to say. It's hard to say right now which one I prefer because I don't know enough about their programs. The only thing that I know is that there is more to it than just choosing between a black man or a woman. I am more of Democrat and I feel like the United States really needs some changes in their politics."

FIBA Europe: What is your most embarrassing moment ever in basketball?

Edwige: "My most embarrassing moment ever in basketball was the 2007 European Championship."

FIBA Europe: If you could drive a Corvette, a Porsche, a Harley-Davison, a boat or ride a bike to work each day, which would you choose?

Edwige: "I would drive a Porsche but only if it will not be too bad for the environment."
