Irena Vizbariene

Career: Lietuvos telekomas Vilnius (Lithuania-LMKL, 1998-2006), TEO Vilnius (Lithuania-LMKL, 2006-07)

Vizbariene is one of very few Lithuanians who have felt the weight of a gold medal around her neck at EuroBasket Women 1997 in Budapest. This makes Vizbariene one of the most experienced and reliable players in Algirdas Paulauskas’ team. The 30-year-old missed the last World Championship in Brazil because of pregnancy, but now she is back and ready to provide some guidance for the less experienced players on the roster. This tournament will be the fourth EuroBasket Women Final Round for the Alytus native.
