EUROBASKET WOMEN 2015 2ND QUALIFYING ROUND

14. Egle Sulciute (Lithuania)
Egle Sulciute moves back into the fold following maternity leave

Having taken over the reins of the Lithuanian national team, Mantas Sernius could have two of his star players back in the mix for the EuroBasket Women 2015 2nd Qualifying Round.

Both Sandra Linkeviciene and Egle Sulciute are back on board after their respective maternity leave expired and that will be a huge boost to the play-caller.

The former provided the main thrust for her team two years ago when stamping a passport to France and EuroBasket Women 2013, managing to produce 14.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game during qualification.

Sulciute meanwhile played with both Galatasaray and Perfumerias Avenida in EuroLeague Women prior to her break from the game and has been a solid contributor with the national team for most of the last decade.

Unfortunately there is also one major blow to contend with, since Giedre Paugaite has declared herself unavailable due to personal reasons - although the other two of the top three scorers from last summer will be back.

Gintare Petronyte and Kamile Nacickaite are the only non-Lithuanian based players on the roster and both played against each other in the Turkish League in the just-completed season with Homend Antakya and TED Ankara respectively.

Lithuania will play China, Latvia, Sweden and Ukraine as part of their preparation programme before facing off against Belgium, Great Britain and F.Y.R. of Macedonia in Group B.

The full roster is as follows: Sandra Linkeviciene (unattached), Gabriele Gutkauskaite (Fortuna), Santa Okockyte (Hoptrans-Sirenos), Marina Solopova (Kibirkstis-Vici Vilnius), Mante Kvederaviciute (Kibirkstis-Vici Vilnius), Kamile Nacickaite (TED Ankara), Laura Svaryte (Aistes-LSU-Paradis), Monika Grigalauskyte (Fortuna), Egle Sulciute (unattached), Lina Aglinskaite (Fortuna ), Vita Kuktiene (Kibirkstis-Vici Vilnius), Gintare Petronyte (Homend Antakya ), Lina Pikciute (Kibirkstis-Vici Vilnius), Egle Siksniute (Fortuna), Kristina Alminaite (Utena)
