The Rest of the World blew out Team Europe in the EuroLeague Women All-Star Game in Gdynia, Poland, on Tuesday night.

Sylvia Fowles had 16 points, two of them coming on a fastbreak dunk late in the fourth quarter, in the 116-88 victory.

USA international Fowles, a gold-medal winner with Team USA at the Beijing Olympics and 2010 FIBA World Championship and leading player of Galatasaray, was voted MVP of the event.

Europe did not finish empty-handed.

ZVVZ USK Prague's Katerina Elhotova of Team Europe edged Alexandria Quigley of the Rest of the World and Pecs 2010 in the three-point shooting contest.

The Rest of the World, coached by Fenerbahce boss Laszlo Ratgeber and UMMC's Gundars Vetra, stormed into a 40-24 lead by the end of the first quarter and cruised the rest of the way.

Angel McCoughtry of Fenerbahce also had 16 points and nine rebounds for the Rest of the World.

The Rest of the World star Tina Charles, meanwhile, isn't known for her three-point shooting after missing her only attempt in the EuroLeague Women for Nadezhda this season but she put up nine attempts in the All-Star Game and made three.

However, in a first-half attempt to dunk, the ball slipped out of her hands.

"Tina couldn't get her feet right," Fowles said, "but she'll get it right next time."

Liron Cohen, Elhotova and Sandrine Gruda had 14 points apiece for Europe.
