There is no doubt that Anna Montañana is a key player for Evaristo Pérez and Spain. Her sudden impact at EuroBasket Women 2005 was unexpected because that was her national team debut, although she had had so many good seasons at George Washington University in the NCAA and also winning a gold medal in 1998 at the U18 European Championship Women. She is perfectly suited to a fast-breaking style but she is more dangerous shooting from behind the arc and distributing the ball. She can also play in the paint and defend taller players inside or small forwards on the perimeter. Her minutes have decreased at Ros Casares this season but she will still be a key player at EuroBasket Women.
