Second-half Comeback Lifts Dynamo Moscow

Dynamo Moscow staged an impressive second-half fightback and beat Ros Casares 72-59 before 2300 spectators in the Russian capital on Tuesday to win the first leg of their eighth-finals tie.

Team USA guard Diana Taurasi had 15 points and Natalia Vodopiyanova weighed in with 13 for Dynamo, who trailed 39-31 at half-time and entered the final quarter trailing 46-45 before outscoring their visitors 27-13 over the final 10 minutes.

Dynamo finished the game seven of 13 (53.8%) from three-point range with Taurasi three of four, but they endured an almighty struggled at struggle at the free throw line making just 13 of 22.

Spanish international Elisa Aguilar had 12 points to lead the Ros Casares.

Taurasi & Co, who out-rebounded Ros Casares 40-33, will attempt to advance to the quarter-finals next week with a win as the best-of-three series shifts to Valencia.
