Bourges Basket coach Pierre Vincent admits the absence of injured playmaker Celine Dumerc is playing havoc with his side's attacking strategy.

The France guard is currently sidelined with a foot injury, and has missed Bourges' opening two EuroLeague Women games.

		Le Dréan and USK Prague were too much for Bourges last week.

Les Berruyeres coped in their Group B opener against Jolly JBS Sibenik, winning 89-72, but struggled offensively in the 60-51 defeat to USK Prague last week.

Bourges were forced to dig deep into their reserves at the weekend when they saw off St-Amand 72-64 in France's Ligue Feminine.

And Vincent knows it is not going according to plan in the offensive sector with chief protagonist Dumerc.

"We have had trouble getting through the defensive lines," he said.

"And in this sector, the absence of Celine Dumerc has weighed heavily on us. She would have brought us more options.

"Prague wanted to avoid defensive mistakes but we had the solutions. We just couldn't score.

"This season we started off with the same overall ideas that we had last season, but with a desire to bring different things to our offense.

"We want to bring more to this sector and have more possibilities at our disposal. But it will take a lot of work."

Bourges are aiming to repeat their EuroLeague campaign of last season, when they reached the competition's Final Four.

They eventually bowed out to Valencia side Ros Casares but should again be a threat this term.

They face Halcon Avenida in Salamanca on Wednesday in their third group match and will be favourites, with the Spaniards having lost their opening two pool games.

Bourges are a point behind unbeaten UMMC Ekaterinburg in the fledgling standings.
