Playing at TEO Vilnius under the direction of current National Team coach Algirdas Paulauskas, Ausra Bimbaite has developed into a starter for the Lithuanians.  A solid 2006-2007 season in the EuroLeague Women, where she played over 23 minutes per game, was spoiled by a knee injury and surgery followed at the end of April. Bimbaite was among the major players in the last World Championship, where she averaged 8.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 45% from the three-point range in 28 minutes per game. Everyone hopes the soon to be 25-year-old will be able to recover and to get back into shape in time for a trip to Italy.
