Volha Padabed gives the coaching staff another option at the point guard position. Though not as quick as Marchanka, Padabed is still more than capable of running the team's offence, feeding the shooters and creating scoring opportunities for teammates and for herself. Volha decided to spend the 2008-09 season in Belarus where she played for Berezina-RCOR Borisov club that participated in domestic competitions as well as the Baltic Women's Basketball League (she averaged 11.4 points, 6.7 assists and 2.5 steals per game in the competition). Padabed actually served as player-coach, mentoring younger teammates who were eager to learn from someone as experienced as herself. It's widely believed that Volha has all the tools to succeed at a coaching position after her playing days are over.
