Perfumerias Avenida rolled to a 95-72 victory over Elitzur Ramla on Wednesday evening to win the SuperCup Women.
In a battle between last year's EuroLeague Women champions Avenida and EuroCup Women winners Elitzur Ramla, the famous home crowd of Salamanca roared its team to a comprehensive triumph.
Marta Fernandez, who has joined Lucas Mondelo's outfit from Ros Casares, got off to a flying start with Avenida by pouring in 23 points.
Marta Xargay, one of the holdovers from last year's title-winning side, scored 22.
Isa Sanchez also weighed in with 15 points and Sonja Kireta, who has signed a one-month contract as Avenida try to cope without big center Erika De Souza, added 12 points.
De Souza is playing in the WNBA Finals with the Atlanta Dream and then going to Mexico to compete for Brazil at the Pan American Games.
Ramla, a magnificent team last season, got 19 points from Shay Doron and Katia Levitsky contributed 15 along with seven boards.
Avenida never trailed in the game.
After a tight first quarter which saw Mondelo's side grab a 26-20 lead, veteran point guard Laura Antoja started the second with a three-point play after being fouled while making a jumper.
Kireta then followed with back-to-back jumpers to stretch the lead to 33-20.
Avenida went on to outscore Ramla 29-12 in the quarter for a 55-32 advantage at half-time.
Xargay had 12 points and Fernandez nine at the break.
The result was never in doubt in the second half.
Avenida will be hoping they have another magical year in the EuroLeague Women.
They will compete in Group B with CCC Polkowice, Beretta Famila, UE Sopron, Tarbes GB, Nadezhda and Fenerbahce.
Elitzur Ramla will play once again in the EuroCup Women.
They will be in Group H with Spartak Noginsk and USO Mondeville.
