But they took command late in the second period with a 10-0 run for a 38-26 advantage.

Wisla stayed within striking distance early in the third quarter, closing the gap to 40-33 on a Janell Burse put-back.

UMMC almost immediately after put the game out of reach with a 15-0 spurt to claim a 57-35 stranglehold on the contest.

Ann Wauters had all 14 of her points in the first half for Ekaterinburg, who will now try to beat Spartak to the domestic title in Russia.

Both sides areĀ  in the Semi-Finals of the Superleague Women.

Sandrine Gruda finished with eight points, seven rebounds and three blocks for Ekat.

Iziane scored 11 points in defeat for the Polish team.

A minute of silence in Valencia's La Fonteta was observed before the game as a show of respect for President Lech Kaczynski and dozens of other members of Poland's leadership, who died in a plane crash on Saturday.
