Anna Vajda's 24 points led MiZo Pecs 2010 to a 76-57 win over ESB Lille Metropole in their EuroLeague Women Group B clash.
MiZo raced out to a 12-2 lead and never looked back against a Lille team that entered with the worst record in the group.
Vajda made back-to-back baskets late in the first quarter that stretched the lead to 16, 20-4, as Lille threatened to sink without trace on their home court.
Kelly Anne Mazzante chipped in with 12 points, while Sara Krnjic added 10 for the victors, who improve to 2-3 in the group.
Laurie Datchy led Lille with 18 points, making seven of eight shots (87.5%) from the field and adding three of four from the charity stripe.
Lady Comfort and Ana Cata-Chitiga each added 10 points.
The defeat leaves Lille at 1-4.
Abdou N'Diaye, Metropole Coach:
"We played a terrible first quarter and it was then too late to get back even though my team fought hard. We need to stay calm and get ready for the next game."
Akos Fuzy, Pecs Coach:
"It feels good to win two in a row. We started the game very well thanks to an aggressive defense and that allowed us to get a lot of fastbreak. In the second half, we made a lot of outside baskets from Kelly Mazzante with four three-pointers made out of six attempted. We were able to answer when the coach changed his strategy and we need this kind of win after losing our first three games."
