Battling Bourges outscored hosts Wisla Can-Pack Krakow 23-10 over the final 10 minutes to run away with a 78-66 victory in Poland on Wednesday.
Looking to make it back to the EuroLeague Women Final Four for a third year running, Bourges got 18 points and six rebounds from their former Brazil national team center Alessandra Santos, while Celine Dumerc provided her usual excellent game at point guard with 11 points, 11 rebounds and five assists.
Bourges only led 66-63 midway through the fourth quarter after Marta Fernandez made one of two at the stripe for Wisla when they took control.
Alessandra made two free throws and a jump shot, and after Dumerc buried a jumper an Alessandra basket capped an 8-0 scoring burst for a 74-63 advantage with 2:25 remaining.
Chamique Holdsclaw, who had a game-high 22 points, hit a three-ball to stop the rot for Wisla but Dumerc replied with two free throws before Katarina Manic added two more at the stripe for the final points of the game.
Pierre Vincent's Bourges dominated the boards, claiming 40 rebounds to just 20 for Wisla.
The French club was also seven of 17 from long range compared to just three of 10 for Wisla.
Bourges improved to 2-0 while Wisla, who claimed a last-second victory at Nadezhda last week, dropped to 1-1.
