ZVVZ Prague snapped a two-game losing streak in the EuroLeague Women with a 71-62 triumph at Jolly JBS Sibenik in Croatia.

Coming off narrow defeats at Wisla Can-Pack Krakow and home to Halcon Avenida, Lubor Blazek's team was desperate to stop the rota and they did so against Jolly after a tight opening 20 minutes had left the scores knotted at 30-30.

The Prague club outscored the hosts 22-17 in the third quarter and extended that four more points in the final 10 minutes to end up winning by nine.

Jessica Dixon had 22 points in defeat to lead all scorers, while Janell Burse and Lindsay Wilson spearheaded a balanced effort for the visitors.

Burse had a team-high 16 points but was only seven of 19 (36.8%) from the floor while Whalen finshed with 15.

Whalen didn't shoot well from the floor either, in fact, making just three of 12 (25%) shots overall, but she did a lot of damage at the free throw line by converting nine of 11 (81.8%).

She also did her share of work on the boards, grabbing eight of her team's 42 rebounds while Burse pulled down seven.

That was an area that hurt the Croatian team as they pulled down just 28.

Blazek got more efficient contributions from his French international Sandrea Le Drean, who was four of six (66.6%) from the floor and finished with eight points in 21 minutes. She also grabbed six rebounds.

St Petersburg, Russia-born Elena Karpova had a season-high nine points - she was three of four (75%) from the field - and four rebounds.

Sibenik, who are also 2-3, are fourth in Group B while the Prague team is fifth.
