Celine Dumerc has just completed a sensational campaign with French giants Bourges.

A EuroLeague Women All-Star this season, she led the club to a domestic title and the Coupe de France.

Now she will turn her attention to the national team.

Dumerc will this summer lead the charge for France as they attempt to qualify for the EuroBasket Women 2009.

The appointment of her coach at Bourges, Pierre Vincent, as the national team boss should make things easier for Dumerc and her club-mates as they attempt to book a place in next summer's final round in Latvia.

FIBA Europe spent "24 Seconds with Celine Dumerc".

FIBA Europe: Celine, before telling us all what kind of car you would like to own and drive one day, give us your thoughts on Pierre Vincent's appointment as France's women's national team coach earlier this year and what the implications are for you.

Celine Dumerc: "I know him and he knows me, so I guess I understand what he wants quicker. For certain, he's a good coach but I don't know if it helps me."

FIBA Europe: Okay, now tell us what kind of car you would like to have one day.

Celine Dumerc: Porsche Cayenne.

FIBA Europe: When did you first start to play the game?

Celine Dumerc: I started to play at INSEP (French sports academy). After, I played at Tarbes.

FIBA Europe: Did you have any family members who played the game?

Celine Dumerc: No.

FIBA Europe: Was there a player who inspired you?

Celine Dumerc: Maybe Michael Jordan, because we watched him. I used to go to Tarbes games but wouldn't say anyone there, particularly.

FIBA Europe: Celine, your many fans out there in French basketball might like to know what pops into your mind when you first wake up in the morning.

Celine Dumerc: Hmm, good question. I guess, I wonder which day it is.

FIBA Europe: You come from France, the land of great food. If someone came up to you and said, "Celine, great game. We're cooking your favourite meal as a reward", what would you eat that night?

Celine Dumerc: Foie frais de canard aux pommes (fresh duck liver with apple).

FIBA Europe: What's the best movie you have seen of late?

Celine Dumerc: La Môme avec Marion Cotillard (The Life in Pink with Marion Cotillard)

FIBA Europe: Back to basketball. What would you like to achieve as a player by the time you have retired from the game?

Celine Dumerc: The dream is to reach the Olympics. I won't say win (gold), but just to go - to qualify and play at an Olympics.
