Gambrinus Sika Brno made light work of Spartak Moscow Region to take the early advantage in their EuroLeague Women quarter-final series with a 73-58 win in the Russian capital.
An outstanding performance from Eva Viteckova powered the Czech team to victory as the 25-year-old forward poured in 33 points, shooting seven of 11 (63.6%) from three-point range.
Along with Deanna Nolan, the tireless Viteckova played every minute of the game as the pair teamed up to ensure there was no way back into the game for Spartak in the closing stages.

After a close start, Gambrinus finished the first quarter on a 13-2 run, sparked by Viteckova's second three-pointer of the game, to move 22-10
However, they did not have things so easy in the second period, and Sue Bird's jump-shot sparked an 11-2 run that allowed the hosts to close the gap to just two, 33-31, at the break.
Gambrinus responded with Viteckova and Nolan teaming up to score nine points in a 13-2 run that put them back in control of the game.
Spartak never got closer than nine points the rest of the way and Gambrinus put the icing on the cake with an 8-2 run midway through the fourth to pad their lead.
Nolan finished with 17 points and eight rebounds, while Hana Machova had seven points, nine rebounds and eight assists for the victors.
Tina Thompson led Spartak with 19 points and nine rebounds, while Diana Taurasi added 14, but the Russians were let down by their shooting.
As a team, they made just 16 of 47 (34%) from two-point range and five of 19 (26%) from beyond the arc.
