Lietuvos Telekomas Vilnius go into action tonight against Group A minnows Baltiskaya Zwezda. Baltiskaya have had a tough time in the EuroLeague this year and have yet to record a victory.
Despite the apparent ease of the task in hand, and a 25-point victory in the first game between the two sides, Lietuvos Telekomas are not taking the task in hand too lightly.
Lietuvos Telekomas were not at their best in November when they faced Baltiskaya in St. Petersburg. Although they recorded a comfortable win, 45-70, Elena Petrova caused problems for the Lithuanian champs, scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Lietuvos Telekomas also struggled with their free throw shooting, hitting just 4/10 and were outrebounded by the Russians, 43-38.

Baltiskaya have managed to improve in their last outing, a fact that has not escaped the attention of Vilnius coach Algirdas Paulauskas.
"Although our opponents are in last place in our group, but they are playing better from game to game. They lost only by 10 points to Sopron last week, so we have to be very serious about that game. We also need a win after our loss in Sopron," said Paulauskas
“It should not be too hard to motivate our players to play against Baltijskaya zvezda. We did not defeat them by a huge margin in the first game, so the girls should not feel themselves as clear favorites. We will play as well as we can, since the victory is the only objective in this game."
