Croatia's early run helped them beat Turkey 67-58 to go level with their opponents on 1-1 behind Russia in Group E of the Termosteps U16 European Championship.
The Croatians scored the game's first 10 points and never trailed, leading 23-6 at the end of the first quarter and 40-20 at the half.
However, Turkey deserve credit for battling back and Ibrahim Yildirim's three-pointer brought them within four with 2:50 remaining in the game.
Goran Fodor replied with a three-pointer of his own to make sure Croatia held on, and he finished with a game-high 22 points.
Team-mate Sven Smajlagic had 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Mario Delas - the only other player in double-digits for the winners - also enjoyed a double-double with 11 points and 19 rebounds.
