| 17.08.2008 Hosts Bosnia-Herzegovina clinched their second win in as many days at the U16 European Championship for Men Division B in Sarajevo on Sunday. Enes Latifagic and Adis Drina each scored 15 points as the Bosnians prevailed 80-47 over Denmark in Group B.
Montenegro are also 2-0 after a 93-75 triumph over the Netherlands. Mladen Novakovic and Stefan Djordan had 18 points apiece for the Montenegrins. Iceland defeated Austria 69-58 in the other Group B game. Germany are off to a perfect 2-0 start after blowing out Belarus in Group A, 87-54. Philipp Neumann scored 17 points and pulled down 17 rebounds for the Germans. Estonia lost 81-59 to Belgium and Slovakia edged 90-87. Estonia, Belarus, Belgium and Slovakia all have 1-1 records. In Group C, Slovenia improved to 2-0 after edging a close encounter with Switzerland, 78-74. Bulgaria are also 2-0 following a 73-61 victory over England. Romania won 65-56 over Cyprus. The Swiss and Romanians are 1-1 while the English and Cypriots are both 0-2. Sweden are 2-0 in Group D following a 63-57 victory over Finland (1-1) and FYR Macedonia are 1-0 after an 88-57 triumph over Portugal (0-2). |
