Serbian Milutin Aleksic and his Proteas EKA AEL team-mates are sky high after sweeping their play-off quarter-final series with Khimik to reach the EuroCup Final Four.
The triumph has really caused a stir in Limassol and it's understandable considering this is the first time a professional sports team has made it this far in a big competition.
"There is a lot of excitement here now," Aleksic said. "This is the biggest thing ever for us, and people are very happy for us."
While leading the Cyprus club to a major honor in Europe is now at the front of his thoughts, the 25-year-old Proteas captain does have plenty of other things to consider should his mind wander away from the basketball court.
FIBA Europe discovered this in `24 Seconds With Milutin Aleksic'.
FIBA Europe: Milutin, what's the first thing you think about when you get up in the morning?
Milutin Aleksic: Hmm, I guess it's what I have to do for that day.
FIBA Europe: If you had your choice of a car to drive, what would it be?
Milutin Aleksic: Car? It would have to be a German car, probably an Audi or a Mercedes Benz.
FIBA Europe: Let's move to the kitchen. What is your ideal meal?
Milutin Aleksic: I'm a big fan of seafood. I'd have octopus and prawns as a starter, white fish as the main course and dessert? I'm not a fan of dessert but if I had to choose, I'd say cheesecake. If I'd have to choose a drink, depending on the food, white wine or red wine.
FIBA Europe: We often see players with headphones on before a game, listening to music. What is your favourite kind of music?
Milutin Aleksic: I like music from all over: Serbian music - I like a lot of our music, but I like everything, mainstream, everything.
FIBA Europe: Who is your favourite basketball player of all time?
Milutin Aleksic: I prefer Magic Johnson's style, someone who can play point guard and do a lot of things.
FIBA Europe: What is the best basketball league in Europe?
Milutin Aleksic: Definitely Spain's ACB.
FIBA Europe: What would you be if you were not a basketball player?
Milutin Aleksic: Honestly, I have thought many times about this and it could be many things - a businessman, plus jobs like doctors, pilots, politicians. Many things ...
FIBA Europe: Milutin, what is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you on a basketball court?
Milutin Aleksic: Okay, when I was young, the coach put me in the game, I shot into my own basket. But it was okay, I was young.
FIBA Europe: Okay, back off the court. What's the best movie you have ever seen?
Milutin Aleksic: I prefer old ones. I'll say Once Upon A Time In America (Sergio Leone) and The Godfather (Francis Ford Coppola).
