Latvia will continue their EuroBasket qualifying campaign a man down after it was confirmed that Arturs Stalbergs has been released from the squad with his knee injury having failed to improve.

Stalbergs did not feature in any of Latvia's opening three games, but there were still hopes the 25-year-old forward would be able to play a role later in the campaign.

However, his recovery from a knee injury is progressing more slowly than hoped and the player has now left camp.

Latvia, who are 1-2, do not have a game in Group A on Wednesday, and next turn out to face Finland on Saturday in Riga.
