|Injured Toni Prostran watches on as his Croatia team-mates better Germany|
Thankfully for them, they still have the outstanding talent of Mario Delas to rely on and he weaved his magic on the court once again to finish with a super line of 15 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. It certainly met with the approval of Croatian internatioanal Zoran Planinic who was watching intently court-side. He was again the difference-maker for the hosts.
Germany meanwhile were looking for a repeat of their heroics against Spain and while they couldn't quite summon the same kind of intensity, they again showed they have what it takes to push some of the tournament favourites.
Croatia held a 37-31 lead at the half and after they returned for the third quarter, they were always in control and never seriously looked under threat thanks to the inability of Germany to finish consistently around the hoop.
Delas was well supported by Olivari who fired three triples in his 14 point haul while also grabbing 7 boards. Maurice Stuckey and Jonas Wolfarth-Botterman both recorded 12 points each for Germany.
