Serbia were always in control from the outset, marching into an early double-digit lead at 16-5 and while Turkey gradually fought their way back after that poor start to get within a point at 32-31, Serbia really turned on the style when it mattered late in the game.
With just under nine minutes remaining, they led by only 57-51 but then turned up the heat and Turkey wilted in spectacular fashion. Within minutes the sharp shooting of Dekic had helped Serbia into a 20 point lead at 77-57 and it was all over for the Turkish team.
Dekic racked up 20 points in the game while Dejan Musli enhanced his reputation with a strong showing as he claimed an impressive double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds. Nemanja Nedovic meanwhile finished with 10 points and added a healthy 6 assists.
Ibrahim Yildirim and Melih Mahmutoglu were the only players to scrape into double digits for Turkey.
