Austria Basketball Federation sporting director Robert Langer admitted his team were a long way from their best in beating Slovakia 72-65 in the U20 European Championship Men 2010 Division B but is more concerned with results than style points.
A tight game was only decided in the final quarter but it was nevertheless enough to improve Austria's record in the tournament to 3-1.
"I'm happy about the fight we showed in the game," Langer said.
"It was a difficult game. The team could not find a proper rhythm. In the last 12 minutes it was better than it had been.
"But it is important on days when you are having a hard time to find a way to win. The guys have done really well with the support of the fans.
"This is an important step towards the semi-finals." |
